A Bit About Me

I was born in Seoul, Korea, and immigrated to America at age ten. I currently live in California with my wife and our two daughters, enjoying the weather and this incredible creative culture (though the cost of living is another story!)!
I serve as Executive Pastor of Discipleship and Formation at WestGate Church, a vibrant multi-ethnic, multi-congregational church in the heart of Silicon Valley. I also serve as Church Formation Coach at Practicing the Way. I am the author of Made to Belong: Five Practices for Cultivating Community in a Disconnected World and A Kids Book About Change.
In terms of education, I am a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a M.Div. and Th.M in Theology and Culture. I care deeply about the intersection of spiritual formation, theology, mental health and the cultivation of authentic Christian communities.
Thanks for stopping by—if any of my work resonates with you, I'd love to connect!
